Attitude/Dependability Evaluation
- The prepared solo will be performed in front of two different judges. This part of the audition will be open to observers. Please prepare a solo song that shows your voice to best advantage, and that gives a good idea of your range and capability. Students are encouraged (but not required to) use their Solo and Ensemble literature.
- The sight-reading audition will take place in a separate room, in front of a third judge. Each student will sing their own voice part of a new song, with three seniors from this year’s group singing the other parts. No previous rehearsal will take place. This part of the audition will be closed to observers.
- The attitude evaluation will be done prior to the auditions, and will be added into the final score. Evaluations will be filled out by both Mrs. Bigler and Mrs. Price, whose scores are averaged together. If an auditioning student has not been in choir previously, other teachers are interviewed for this information.
- Membership in other groups will be taken into consideration.
